How to change chapter author pics
To change author pics for a particular chapter
It's simple, just follow these five simple steps.
1. go to your file manager and find the directory:
files/authorpics.
2. Note the authorpics have sequential numbers in their filenames. However, realize that an authorpic filename number does not correspond directly to that partiicular chapter's number (i.e, authorpic numbers don't match chapter numbers).
3. So, follow instructions below to get the authorpic filename number which relates to the chapter you wish to change.
4. After you know the correct authorpic for a particular chapter, change the image to whatever you like.(use that same filename, of course).
5. After replacing the old image with the new one (with the file name to match the chapter's code number), the new image will appear in your book for that chapter. |

Tutorial to match authorpic names with chapter numbers
Authorpic filename numbers don't match chapter names
Each chapter has a specifically named picture for the author of that chapter. The names have a number that tells which chapter it belongs to. But that number doesn't actually match your chapter numbers, instead it is a code number that tells the software that it is for a particular chapter.
How to find the code number for a particular chapter
Find out the code of a particular chapter by going into your admin panel (where you create pages). Place the mouse cursor up at the top over the chapter tab name (number) for which you wish to find it's code. Then look to the bottom left of your browser to see the "browser link status line." The last number in the line will tell you the special code for the chapter you are checking.
Example:
Although these numbers will vary for every book, lets us describe an example from a typical book. In this case, we put the cursor over the tab that says "Eleven" for chapter 11.
In the status bar of the browser (bottom left) this info showed:
http://zqv.com/yourbooktitle/admin.php?blog=23
That last number (in the example we show it = 23) is the chapter code for the chapter we had the cursor over (chapter 11(. So, in that case, the code for chapter 11 was 23. (Each book is different, so be sure to do your code/chapter checks on a case by case basis.)
Now go find the corresponding image and change it to be whatever you like.
For the example, we illustrated, the authorpic for Chapter 11 would be authorpic23.jpg. |
