How do you re-arrange the order of chapters?

Re-arranging chapter order is a behind the scenes admin function. Your friendly support staff member will do that for you upon request. Just make the appropriate changes in your Chapter titles and post here that you wish to now have them put into their new proper order.

Change your chapter titles like this:

A. Login to admin panel with username and password..

B. Select Chapter Settings.

C. Select "Chapter" tab where descriptions are desired.
(Selected Chapter will be shown highlighted with white tab, while others are grey).

D. Select the "General" tab.

E. Under the section labeled "Chapter title and menu display," there are two form fields to complete:

a. Chapter title: Could be actual chapter subject or simply as Chapter One. Displayed at top of the chapter that is being viewed. Example,

Quote:
Chapter Fourteen

b. Menu Name: This is what is shown in the top menu of your book and also in the admin panel. Limit is 12 characters. Example,

Quote:
Chapter 14

F. After you have completed your chapter title changes, post that you would like to have them re-assigned to show your new intended order. It should be done within 12 hours (or sooner).

G. After your service tech has completed the re-ordering of the chapters the way you have newly titled them, they will appear:

a. Across the top of your book (as links) in the proper sequence.

b. The table of contents will reflect these changes and show the chapters listed appropriately.

Can an author still be working on their book while all of thi is happening?

You would still be able to work on your book... since you will have re-named the chapters... they would just be appearing out of order. The actual re-ordering takes the service tech about twenty seconds. I am just going to put in some kind of a reasonable time frame just like other companies do in case the service techs get swamped.

How many chapters can a book have?

You can have any number of chapters you wish... would you like a 100? No problem. We start with a basic group and authors can request as many new ones as they wish.[/quote]
