Gallery
The gallery chapter allows you to display large images, documents and thumbnail gallery pages. The gallery is different from other chapters in that it has a special side bar menu, the Gallery topic menu.
How the side-bar galley topic menu works.
For the gallery, instead of having page numbers, edit (in your author panel) each page to have a specific topic heading. On the side bar, a menu is automatically shown of all of the topic headings that you have written (or what is on the various gallery pages). Clicking on any topic goes directly to that gallery page.
Creating the menu only requires putting a topic on the "subject" line of each of your Galley pages. You can still include page numbers. For example, if you wanted to include Page numbers as well as a topic, you would follow the followingformat. Where on a regular book chapter, Page 15, might be written, in the Gallery chapter you would write, | Quote: | | Page 15 - The search of the beach. |
It perhaps seems like a lot of work to keep those subjects written, but it produces a very pleasing an effect and allows your readers greater access to your Gallery displays. |
