WebOptimizer is a excellent program for quick screen captures.
Plus, it has many other features to make photos more web usable.

How to acquire pictures from sites that prevent download

Many sites think that they are protecting their images (which they dont' own anyway).... by have a javascript that disables right click. But, that is why weboptimizer software is so very nice. I just use the capture mode to grab anything I can see on my screen.

Steps:

1. launch the program...

2. click edit, then

3. capture.

4. on the capture screen choose
a. Area tab
b. rectangle
c. hide WepOpt application
d. capture

5. now navigate on the web to anything you wish to capture.

6. when you find your "target" click the F11 key.
7. With your mouse move the grid controls to exactly surround the pic.
8. Click enter when finished.
9. Pic appears in Web optimizer.
10. Select the pic to the right (that's the only one that saves)
11. Save it.

There are other things you can do with the pic in Weboptimizer like resize it and other things.. but that gets you a picture you can upload to your photo storage site.

6. when you find your "target" click the F11 key.

a. You will see a grid with a yellow tag like this: Ignore what shows following (we don't use this "window"):

IMAGE HERE

b. Without pressing your mouse buttons, move your mouse until the "crosshairs" are lined up with the upper right corner of the pic you are capturing, like this:

c. Now, holding down the left mouse button, move the grid controls to the lower right corner of the pic, so that a "frame" exactly surrounds the pic.

d. Release the left mouse button.

e. Weboptimizer popup up with the captured image.

7. Save the picture shown on the right panel.

You should practice and get where you can nail each picture exactly without any white borders... that grid device is a precision tool and you can hit the two corners on the money.
