How to host a captured webpage
Capture pages two ways:
A. Capture a page by copying it and pasting it into Office Word and then saving it. Your MicroSoft Word program provides an excellent way to capture a webpage.
(as described in another thread). INSERT THAT HERE
B. Save the page using your browser (IE is best for this) as a website (following instructions were provided on another thread
INSERT THAT HERE
Then what do you do with those things you saved?
Well, they are not as easily put up remotely as you might think... because, either way you capture them , they will create a folder of files (the additional images which are associated with the page.
You will not only have to upload the webpage htm file but create a remote folder (directory) just like was created for you (by IE when saving or by Office Word when saving). Then you have to upload all those pics as well. That bunch of associated images can often be huge and quite an upload.
A good way.. is often to clone by viewing in Print Friendly mode and saving that as a webpage in IE... then what I uploadd isn't t so cumbersome. |
