How to register your own unique domain name

Registering your own domain address.

You may wish to have your own domain name which can be redirected directly to your book or we can create an intro page with links to your book (and comments forum).

Just a few pointers when you are registering your domain.

Go to http://000domains.com (or other registrar)

First you will be finding out if what you would like yours to be called is available. Hopefully your choice is there and you will submit that choice.

It will say place your order.

the choices are 13.95 a year or 27.00 for two years.

Then you will need to set up an account by setting a user name and password to access your account in the future.

You will then follow with some personal information


You will have an opportunity to select two servers (you can tell people how you want them to do that Sam)

At some point you will also give them your credit card information - I think you can also use Paypal - and that is all there is to it.

then you hit submit and you will get an email notification that you have been approved.

Now, if you want your whois to be anonymous that is not offered when you are registering. Many people prefer not having public access to their site information.

You will need to call the domains.com and tell them you just registered - and they will process a special order for $4.99 for Whoisprivacy and that way your name will not show on line to others. The number is 360-253-2210

But you should do this right away after you place your initial order. If not it will take longer for your domain to propagate into the system twice.
