Here is an interesting tool which will let you see which color you want as a background, by dynamically showing it when you click the buttons (on the right). You can have fun with this one. We couldn't really show this here because it needs to be in a full window to get the full screen background effect.

What is especially nice about this is that you can see what a font in a particular color will look like against a selected background color. After clicking to change a background, just scroll up or down and see the effect of different fonts. It's quite remarkable.

It really opens up the possibilities for some interesting combinations doesn't it? Try that one yourself and scroll upward looking at all of the different effects, like maybe the darkkhaki font against the darkslategray background. It's a matter of personal taste, of course. The possibilities are endless.
