How to update an earlier htm file with new text or images.

1. Note the url which you used in your iframe..

For example, it might look like this:

Code:
http://zqv.com/mybook/files/chapter5/myspecialpage.htm

2. Note the filename at the end of the url (and its location).

Open your filemanager and find that htm file in your file manager.
Download the htm file to a convenient location on your computer.

Note:

Depending on your browser settings, sometimes, if you click the download button in the filemanager for an htm file, it will just load it into your browser window, ie, like viewing a webpage.

If that happens to you, then to download an htm file, you will need to put the cursor on the htm filename (in the filemanager) and right click and then choose :

"Save target as" or whatever the similar choice is in Mozilla.

Then save it to your computer.

An alternative way to download an htm file:

Another way would be to change the file name in the filemanager to another extension (like .htx), then the download button would work normally. Then when you save it to a location on your computeri... .change it to an htm extension.

3. Launch notepad (or your default Windows editor) and load the file.

4. Edit it, according to the instructions described following (which you already know), adding in the appropriate images, headings or text that you desire:

5. Use the template guideline on that Answers page above to copy and paste any needed code into the htm file you are now editing.

6. Save it and upload it back to your file manager, overwriting the original.

7. No need to access your admin.php panel to make any changes. Your updated version will appear in the book automatically.
